It’s not always easy to see the wood for the trees. Sometimes, the world gets too much for us, and leave us side-swiped, thrown off course, dizzy and out of sorts.

Lost, adrift from a world in which we usually have some control over, it can be hard to get back on track. But it is possible to get just a foothold on life again, and, slowly but surely, we can begin to gather our thoughts into some sense of order once more.

So take time, take a breath, take a pause. Disconnect from everything for a short while, allow yourself the space to gather yourself again. Recharge, repurpose and set things going again.

You are allowed to protect yourself.
Don’t let the barriers you put in place hinder you.

Always be prepared.
We none of us know what life will bring, where the next great adventure will take us.
Keep your options open and be open to the opportunities that might arise.

Time passes quickly.
Its fleeting nature cheats us out of a lot.
Make the most of the time you have.

Try looking at things in a different way.
There is always a new perspective to be had.
Expand your horizons.

Not everything is clear cut and there are always two sides to every story.
What is the yang to your yin?

Sometimes we need to do away with the distractions in life, to see the true meaning of what we are looking to accomplish.
Wipe away those distractions and you will be able to see the wood for the trees.

Don’t be influenced by what you cannot control.
Ignore the distractions and create your own life.
